Inspirational Speech Video: Benjamin Zander

Hi,

I feel sooo blessed today.

I went over to say 'good morning' on Twitter earlier, responded to a few posts that I saw and visited Mitch Joel's blog because he spoke of an inspiring speech that rocked his world.

Since I'm always up for rocking worlds, I clicked over despite being all set up to start recording articles.... oh, well... ;-)

I'm glad I did. Benjamin Zander's TED talk on music and passion was truly inspiring. It directly resulted in a conversation with my kids that connected. I've been talking about them writing and completing their own To Do lists for about a month or so.

Of course that's just a mother's way of trying to cut down on the repetitive talkinggggg! ;-) But it ended up as a conversation about having an attitude of gratitude, passion and joy for chores.

We talked about how that would translate into having a great attitude for life so that everyday can be created special, free and happy because of having an attitude of gratitude, passion and joy from the get go.

I don't remember ever visiting the TED website but listening to Ben's talk also resulted in me joining as a free community member and setting up my basic profile. If Ben's speech is my first intro to all the speeches that site has, then I'll be a member for a very long time. I'm even planning to attend the TED conferences soonest!

My takeaway:
Who do I choose to Be in my life so that I create shining eyes in everyone with whom I interact.

It's about how something that is normally not felt to be worthy of our love, attention and pride can become the foundation of something new, magical and uplifting.

As you read the story of George, his garden and a conversation with his wife, listen within and hear your own heart's message about an aspect of your own life that is worthy of being looked at with new eyes.

Discernment is a life skill that we are all blessed to develop on an ongoing basis throughout the course of our lives.

Be willing to review, with discerning, heart-led inner vision, aspects of your life that you don't feel measure up. This inner openness and discernment can create wonderful opportunities for greater self acceptance, inner stretching and the allowing of new miracles and magic...
