Spiritual Selfhelp - Dancing, Writing, Communing with Self and Reading 'Ask Deepak Chopra'
Re-inhabiting my body - spiritual selfhelp, 21st century woman, integration with God Self, Ask Chopra
Hello,
I started writing the first of an article series this afternoon about being a powerful, aligned 21st century woman, trusting, developing and living from inner knowingness.
Later on, I 'got' to visit Arianna Huffington's blog, always a favourite read, especially since I noticed that Deepak Chopra was a regular blogger there.
I skipped over to Deepak's name site and found his Q & A section and was struck by his response to a question on feeling alone:
"Feeling Alone
Q: Why is it that I never feel alone and I always feel alone at the same time? I interact with at least 100 people everyday and I never feel like I am really with them. I want to fully enjoy everyone's company but I feel mentally and spiritually exhausted. I feel like an empty shell when I am talking to people and feel disconnected. When I am home and by myself, I feel like I can't get away from people. I feel like I can never escape except when I am sleeping.
I would like to really feel present when I am with people and enjoy solitude when I am not with people. Do you have any suggestions?
A: It sounds like you are a bit separated from your own emotional nature. Your awareness has pulled away from being involved or as invested in others, but at the same time it is not content within itself. That is why you feel like you can’t escape from others even when you are alone.
To learn to enjoy others’ company as well as your own company your approach should start with learning to be comfortable and happy with yourself. Meditation will certainly help. Think about what you are good at, the kinds of activities that make you feel good about yourself, and then make sure you spend time doing those things. It could be painting, cooking, running, singing, whatever it is, let your full faculties—mind, body, emotions—be engaged in that. That way you will retrain yourself in how to behave with your entire being. As you begin to get reacquainted with yourself as an integrated whole, you will find you won’t feel disconnected inside and therefore you won’t feel alone. Just being and sharing who you naturally are, you will be able to interact with others more easily and more comfortably.
Love,
Deepak"

Time to ...... exhale............... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......
I started listening to Yahoo Music last week after committing to getting back into enjoying music on a daily basis. I still forget to turn the music on some days but today's soft pop selections took me back to my dancing days when I used to waltz and disco with wild abandon.
Today, my gift to myself, before this 'pat on the shoulder' confirming Chopra 'answer', was to just 'forget' my 'work' enough to get up from my glued-to-the-'puter-screen state' enough to dance around the room!!!!!!
YEAHHHHHH!!!! THANK YOU, Angie!!!!!!!
I am slowly beginning to become reacquainted with my body... it feels like I've been living outside of it for aeonssssss.
Dancing again. Felt sooo good.
That then took me to Mary Foley and her GoBodacious website and being a powerful woman... today!!!!!
My day's journey today began a bit after 1:00am and travelled right through my usual internet interests, curving into a new article as the first of a series on being a powerful, inner-guided woman in today's world to politics, spirituality and being ... bodacious!
I'll finish writing that article tomorrow... by hook or crook!
Have a GREAT weekend and remember, do whatever you love.... whatever makes your Spirit soar, dance and careen wildly with the joy of being alive. THAT's why we're here!!!!!!!!
Love you, and REMAIN Blessed,
Angela.
