Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Guru Spiritual Leader/Teacher Dies, Enters His Mahasamadhi

Good morning!

I wasn't ready to post on this yesterday but I wanted to mark the passing of Beloved Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Maharishi entered into his mahasamadhi on Tuesday, February 5th, 2008 around 7pm in Holland. Mahasamdhi is the vedic term reserved for enlightened persons who cross over consciously from the third dimension into the the realm of Infinity, Oneness or back into the Wholeness of Life Itself.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi just celebrated what is believed to have been his 91st birthday on January 12th, 2008. He always enters into an annual period of Silence lasting between January 1 - January 7th.

This year, after he emerged from Silence, he shared that his work was done and that he had fulfilled his promise to his Beloved Guru Dev, Shankaracharya Swami Brahmananda. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi also announced that he would be retiring from all activity and again going into silence whilst finishing his commentary on the Vedas.

I will share a bit of the history of transcendental meditation and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's biography in relation to his Beloved Guru Dev in another post tomorrow.

I miss you, Maharishi. And I THANK YOU. For all your love, devotion and caring throughout your lifelong service to humanity. Even as I grieve, I dance in celebration in my heart for the work you rendered and the continued Love and Devotion you are already now blessing Earth and All of Life Itself with.
